The Wiesner Building, which also houses the MIT Media Laboratory, was designed by MIT alumnus I.M. Pei and Partners, Architects, in 1985 and includes public works by artists Kenneth Noland (Here-There); Scott Burton (Settee, Bench, and Balustrade); and Richard Fleischner (plaza design including pavers, benches, and landscape). Located at the eastern edge of the MIT campus, the List Visual Arts Center is in close proximity to Kendall Square, Memorial Drive, and the Longfellow Bridge.
