Clonalis was the first ? concrete house to be built in Ireland and, contrary to the perception of Victorian architecture as being dark and gloomy, once you cross the threshold you enter and elegant, bright House with lots of natural light. It has been sensitively restored and contains its original furniture, its collection of historic portraits and its library of over 7,000 books which date from the 17th century.
