The Library and Museum was started at the Masonic Hall Reading in 1896 by members of Grey Friars Lodge No.1101 with some assistance from members of other Reading lodges. Following the move to Sindlesham in 1969, a separate room was allocated to the Library and Museum; in 2002 an additional room was acquired for use as a Museum only.
