Bersham Heritage Centre and Ironworks are located in the attractive Clywedog Valley, two miles west of Wrexham in the borderlands of Wales and England,

The heritage centre is where you can discover the role this corner of Wales and its people played in the industrial revolution that transformed Britain and the wider world between 1750-2000.

There are three galleries which tell the story of the iron, coal and steel industries of North Wales. The main gallery hosts a changing exhibition each year: 2012-13 - Made in Wrexham; 2014-15 - Telling the Time and 2016-17 - Farming and Rural Crafts. An open air gallery adjacent to the heritage centre includes those objects too big to fit inside!

Visitors can explore the nearby ironworks that once belonged to John 'Iron Mad' Wilkinson or walk the Clywedog Trail through attractive woodland past the hidden heritage of the Minera Lead Mines and the 'Russian Steps', as well as the meadows beneath Erddig.
