Ordsall Hall's restoration is progressing well. Underneath the scaffolding and huge tarpaulin, transformations are taking place in all areas of the building.
In certain areas carvings have been meticulously restored and conserved to reveal intricate details not seen for an age. New stairwells have been fitted, previously unseen rooms are being made accessible and medieval stained glass panels have been carefully restored to their former glory ready to take their place once again in the hall.
