Whippoorwill Academy and Village is a delightful place to visit and tour the past as you walk through this small village of yesteryear. Owner and operator, Mrs. Edith Ferguson Carter started this village by moving historical buildings to the family farm many years ago. As an artist, Mrs. Carter has made several videos using art work to tell the stories of "NC Legends." The "Legend of Tom Dooley" is the most popular one.
