South Pasadena history is told beginning with the original Native American residents, through the Mexican ranchos, to the Indiana Colony, and the 20th century. South Pasadena had 2 of the most popular and spectacular attractions starting in the late 1800s. See exhibits on the Raymond Hotel and the Cawston Ostrich Farm, as well as many photos of the city in the early years. Our fine schools go back to the beginning, with many photos depicting the evolution of the school buildings.
