Historical Society of Oak Park and River Forest website
The Historical Society of Oak Park and River Forest was organized in 1968 and since 1970 has been located on the second floor of Historic Pleasant Home, a National Historic Landmark in Mills Park, operating a history museum, research center and archives. The Historical Society exists as a not-for-profit organization to serve the community and operates solely from the support of memberships, earned income, and the generosity of local residents and businesses rather than by local tax dollars.
