Horse

Horses are unguligrade animals that run on their toes. They have evolved to have longer legs as this increases their stride length and allows them to cover larger distances at greater speed. Their foot has very little contact with the ground to reduce the friction when running, which again increases speed. The lower leg bones are surrounded with tendons, which create elastic like reaction backwards when running.
