marsupial

Marsupials and placental mammals are very distantly related but some look striking similar in shape and behaviour- like an echidna and a hedgehog. Possums appear very “rodent-like.” Check out the marsupial mouse on display. The wombat looks quite a lot like some of the larger rodents and is in fact very similar to the North American woodchuck (also on display). Finally, the marsupial mole is extremely similar to placental moles.
