Nankin Mills in Westland, Michigan dates from 1842. Once a grist mill, it now serves as an interpretive center and tells the area's cultural and natural history. The building was once owned by Henry Ford who manufactured auto parts.

This 95-acre parksite was the 1820's homestead of Michigan pioneer, Joshua Simmons. It includes the original farm complex, Historical Village, picnic facilities and recreational areas.

Our Museum's collection features our city's heritage, pioneers, residents, and businesses and welcomes all visitors, including school groups, Boy and Girl Scouts, Red Hat Ladies, senior citizens and especially – volunteers!
