We are dedicated to the purpose of preserving and promoting the history and heritage of the Town of Lovettsville and its surrounding area. Our main function is the collection and display of objects pertaining to a past way of life in the Lovettsville area!

The museum features many artifacts from Townsend’s life, career and estate, as well as artifacts from the Battle of South Mountain. The museum is open on the weekends during the spring, summer and fall, but the grounds are accessible year-round.
