These silver gilt dessert dishes provided the final showpiece to Sir Watkin’s famous dinner parties at his London home. They were made to a fashionable Neo-classical design and stamp a claim to wealth and culture being engraved with his family crest. They remain testament to Watkin’s artistic patronage and ambition.
