Lady Charlotte Williams Wynn, portrait

Lady Charlotte (1754-1830) was a kind-hearted woman who, like her husband, was a great patron of the arts and music. She and three of her children were painted by Sir Joshua Reynolds in 1778. The painting is currently on display in the National Museum of Wales in Cardiff.

Lady Charlotte was the daughter of the Rt. Hon. George Grenville, who was prime minister from 1763 to 1765. She was also cousin to another prime minister, William Pitt the Younger.
