Gold Vaults

The Old Treasury gold vaults were built during the 1850s Victorian gold rush. It was a time when banks held the gold being found, but due to the quick filling of their vaults, it was decided to build a purpose built space just for gold. There are 8 vaults accessible for museum visitors.
