AT14 - Beech tree

The beech is a large tree noted for its smooth, light gray bark. Unfortunately this same bark entices the human species to carve initials or words into it. This damage will be visible for a long time and it puts the tree at risk for disease. The beech is evident in winter because its light tan leaves persist on the tree until spring.
