Enquiry-based learning that works
Chances are you're on this page because a local cultural organisation has invited you to use OOKL at their venue. Here is a brief explanation how the service works.

Before the school trip
You have booked an educational session with a cultural organisation that is a partner on OOKL. They will send you an email with your user name and password. Before you arrive on the day, all you need to do is log onto OOKL and create a class and a visit. This will automatically generate a set of usernames and passwords for your class. Don't forget to bring this sheet on the day!
On the day
Your students will be given a learning task and a specially adapted mobile device which they will log on to. The device enables your students to learn about the place's collections and record their own observations (photos, sounds and comments) relevant to the task. All of the content accessed on the device is automatically uploaded to a private place on the OOKL website for your class.
Back in class
Back in the classroom (or home) students can log onto the website, see their content and create a digital story about the school trip. Digital stories can be exported to powerpoint or other software packages and saved in your online learning environment.
