A fantastic opportunity to develop the ITC curriculum. OOKL explores firstsite's new building as it develops, using web and mobile phone technology. The programme promotes cross-curricular learning and interaction with art, architecture and culture in meaningful, fun and stimulating ways.

Step 1: Choose a host and call them to book a session.

Step 2: Once you have booked, you'll be sent log in details by email. You'll then be able to register classes and create a visit.

Step 3: Prepare for your trip by downloading a teachers' pack, reviewing the lesson plans for the venue and providing a pre-visit lesson for your students.

Step 4: Your students can log in to OOKL and prepare for the visit by adding things to their own multimedia store or looking through featured stories online.

Step 5: On the day of the visit make sure your students have a clear goal for the trip. They'll be able to collect objects and record a memory of their visit using text, photography and sound recordings.

Step 6: Back at school or at home, your students will be able to see what they and their classmates have collected, learn more about the things they've seen at the venue. They can then create multimedia stories that they can show to their family, present to their class so you can assess and comment on.

Step 7: When they are happy, your students can publish stories for you to assess formally.

Step 8: You can then choose to feature their published stories so that they can be seen by other schools and the general public.
